PJ Library is a national Jewish family enrichment program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation. Locally, the Jewish Federation of Lane County implements PJL, ensuring that enrolled families in Lane County have regular opportunities to explore the timeless, core values of Judaism through free, high-quality books and music mailed monthly directly to their homes.
In addition to the Jewish themed books and music, we host monthly family programs with activities such as stories, holiday celebrations, outdoor adventures, art projects, and music. We also partner with Temple Beth Israel for Tot Shabbat and with Oregon Hillel to offer fun family events and programs.
All families in Eugene-Springfield and surrounding areas raising Jewish children from age six months through eight years are welcome to enroll by going online to www.pjlibrary.org
PJL has also recently begun to provide books to children ages, 9, 10 and 11 through the PJ Our Way Program. PJOW allows children to select books themselves from a variety of monthly choices. To enroll in this program, go to www.pjourway.org.
Our local PJ Library is supported by the Jewish Federation of Lane County, B’nai B’rith Camp, Oregon Jewish Community Foundation, and private donors.
PJ Library is a great way to introduce your children to Jewish values and traditions, and the PJ events area great way to meet other local families and have fun with other Jewish kids. For more information please email: [email protected]
